Clowing Around, Clown of the Year Norman the Clown 2007-2008

Norm began clowning 29 years ago when he was 16 and began working at the Ground Round Restaurant as their clown. I entertained with magic and balloon twisting. The balloons were a real novelty back in 1974. Somehow this all turned into a job and he hit the road doing school assembly tours. On this type of tour he would do 13-16 shows a week along with around 700 miles of driving. It could sometimes be real grind, but this was a great way to get to know how audiences react to various bits presented various ways.

He has entertained in 48 states and 5 other countries. Performances include the MN State Fair twice, Knott's Camp Snoopy 12 times, Paul Bunyan Amusement Park a couple times each summer for 12 years. Lots of churches, schools, malls, fairs and etc. I worked as clown and magician for the couple year run on Alan Skogerbo's delightful TV-show, "The Solid Rock Kid's Cafe." This show is still on cable and satellite is various places.

I love to make people laugh!

Performed at World Clown Association conventions in: New York City, Winnipeg, Minneapoils, Denver, Orlando, and other conventions in Houston, Calgary, Canada, Clown Camp, Lacrosse WI.
